Seid Manor

Dream Wedding Giveaway: Terms and Conditions

These are the rules of the Seid Manor Dream Wedding Giveaway (the Competition). By entering, you agree to them. Please read them, they are short.

1. Who is running it

The Competition is run by Seid Manor, Hartbeespoort, North West, South Africa (the Promoter). Contact details are on the website. This is a promotional competition as defined in section 36 of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.

2. Who can enter

Anyone who is 18 or older and lives in South Africa. Employees of the Promoter, their immediate families, and any agency or supplier involved in the Competition may not enter. One entry per person and per couple. Duplicate entries are removed.

3. How to enter

Entry is free. There is nothing to buy. To be entered into the draw you must do all four of these before the closing date:

  1. Register on the competition page on our website, including joining our mailing list.
  2. Follow Seid Manor on Instagram or Facebook.
  3. Share the competition page using the share buttons on our website.
  4. Attend one of our official open viewing days in person and present your entry code at the gate.

You will receive an entry code by email when you register. Keep it. Entries that have not completed all four steps by the closing date are not eligible. The only cost to you is your own travel to a viewing day.

4. Dates

Entries close on the date shown on the competition page. The draw takes place in the month shown on the competition page. The wedding must take place within the window shown on the competition page, on a date agreed with the Promoter and subject to availability. Public holidays and long weekends are excluded unless the Promoter agrees otherwise.

5. The prize

One wedding at Seid Manor for up to the number of guests shown on the competition page, including the items listed on that page as What the winner gets, and use of all on-site accommodation for the wedding night. The Promoter’s estimate of the value is shown on the page.

The prize does not include: guest transport, guests above the stated number (who may be added at the Promoter’s standard published rate), marriage officer fees, wedding rings, attire, gifts, gratuities, travel, or anything not listed. Upgrades and additional items may be bought at the Promoter’s published prices. The prize is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other prize. If any listed item is unavailable on the date, the Promoter will substitute an item of equal or greater value.

6. The draw and the winner

The winner is chosen by random draw from all eligible entries. The draw is overseen and certified by an independent auditor, attorney or accountant appointed by the Promoter, in line with the regulations under the Consumer Protection Act. The Promoter will contact the winner by phone and email within seven days of the draw. If the winner cannot be reached, declines, or is found to be ineligible within fourteen days, the prize is forfeited and a new winner is drawn. The Promoter’s decision on eligibility is final.

7. Publicity

By entering, the winner agrees that the Promoter may publish their names, the announcement, and photographs and video from the wedding on its website and social media without payment. The winner may decline this in writing, in which case the Promoter may draw a new winner.

8. Your information

We use your details to run the Competition, contact you if you win, and to send you news from Seid Manor by email. You can unsubscribe from that at any time using the link in every email, and it does not affect your entry. We do not sell your information. We keep Competition records for the period the law requires and then delete them. This is in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act.

9. The usual

The Promoter may change or cancel the Competition, or these rules, if something outside its control makes that necessary, and will announce any change on the website. The Promoter is not responsible for entries that fail to reach it for technical reasons. Social media platforms are not sponsors of the Competition and are not involved in it. South African law applies.
