A big honest steel structure with the roof trusses left showing, because they look better than anything you could hide them behind. Drape it, light it, hang the whole thing in fairy lights and it changes character completely. Or leave it raw. The floor takes a dancefloor, a long table run and a bar without anyone touching elbows.

The bridal suite comes with every wedding package: 2 nights, so you are here the night before. Extra nights are R2,200.
Hire includes 8 hours, tables, chairs, basic lighting, the bar setup, parking and a manager on duty. Bar and catering are optional. Put your people in the rondavels afterwards and nobody drives.
The base package is R48,000 for up to 50 guests, then R750 for every guest after that. That covers the venue for eight hours, the chapel, dinner and dessert, wine on the table, a DJ, a photographer, all your tables, chairs, linen and crockery, flowers on each table and two nights in the bridal suite. Most couples then add things, and the quote builder on this site will show you exactly what those cost before you speak to anyone.
The hall seats 150 for dinner and holds around 220 standing. The chapel seats 150. If your list is bigger than that, come and talk to us before you book anywhere, because the honest answer might be no.
Seven rondavels and the two bedroom bridal suite are on the property, which covers your closest people. For a bigger wedding we work with guesthouses down in Hartbeespoort and can put a shuttle on. Nobody needs to drive down a mountain pass after a party.
The hall is a roof, so the reception is never at risk. For the ceremony the chapel is under cover. If you had planned something outside we bring in a stretch tent, and we make that call with you the morning before, not on the day.
Catering and bar are ours, because that is how we keep the price honest and the food hot. Flowers, decor, photography, video, cake and music are all yours to choose. We have people we trust for every one of those and you are welcome to use them or not.
A R10,000 booking deposit takes the date off the calendar. It comes off your final bill. Until that clears the date stays open to anyone else who asks.
About 45 minutes from Sandton and half an hour from Pretoria, then a short climb. The road is fine in a normal car. We will send your guests a pin and a set of directions that make sense in the dark.
Yes, and we would like more of them. Fortieths, engagements, corporate year ends, launches, memorials. Hall hire starts at R18,000 midweek. Catering and bar are optional.
